Brewer: Clown Shoes
Type: Half Sour IPA
Color: The color is between pale and deep gold (medium gold?) that you'd expect from an IPA.
Nose: The nose fades very quickly, but it is very pleasant, a refreshing sent of honeysuckle, citrus, and strong floral notes. Others have noted pear or apricot, maybe...if you stretch your imagination.
Taste: Not very sour or tart at all. Yes, you can taste the sour, but it's pretty mild. The hops are also pretty mild as well, not getting much in the way of citrus for taste. No pine taste for me. Almost getting a pilser mixed with a sour taste upfront, and then the hops at the very very end. I was expecting a lot of interesting flavors, but it seems pretty one dimensional.
Other thoughts: It has a nice mouthfeel, not too carbonated. Taste and carbonation lingers on the tongue in a pleasant fashion.
