Cherry Chrisp (2017). AKA: Skully barrel no. 54

Reviewed by greg.scott

Brewer: Paradox

Type: Wild Sour Ale brewed w/ Cherries

Nose: Tart, little whiff of hops. Major components are fruit forward, lemony tart, sourness. Hints of lemon, and maybe raspberry. The nose is pretty mild all things considered.

Color: Thick dark brown. Like a creamy coffee milkshake.

Taste: Very sour. Lip puckering sour. I get the taste of lemons and raspberries. The sour just really takes the show. Surprisingly low amounts of sweet. Nothing to really balance the sour. High ABV, but you don't taste it. Would be nice lounging outside sipping on this during a warm summer day.

Other thoughts: Good amounts of carbonation. Good texture, not syrupy (which is a good thing). ABV: 8%
